Logo launch
We’ve finally launched our logo and there is a much bigger meaning behind it.
TenderLines, the name, was formed from the ‘line’ in Borderline, and ‘tender’ from our approach to the disorder. Tenderness is associated with the quality of being gentle, loving and kind - which is our ultimate goal for navigating BPD.
We wanted our logo to reflect this. The boat represents oneself, with the waves reflecting the turbulent, unpredictable and unsteady emotions and situations that come with BPD - whether this be for someone living with the disorder, or for those around them.
The hands show support. Support from friends and family, from medical professionals, and, most importantly, from oneself. To support oneself in a tender, kind and gentle manner is the ultimate goal from this blog.
The colour green represents growth, balance and calm. Green has a calming psychological effect and as BPD often involves emotional dysregulation, green symbolises the hope of inner peace alongside BPD. Pink reflects softeness and vulnerability - a gentlesness of care. Vulnerability can be reclaimed as strength, highlighting the importance of self-compassion and creating safe spaces.
